Privacy

This covers austindevs.com and the applications built and owned by Austin Devs LLC. The short version: very little is collected, none of it is sold, and none of it is used to build a profile of you.

This website

Analytics are handled by Google Analytics with its default configuration. That means Google collects the usual measurement data, including a device identifier, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, and referrer. No custom identifiers, no marketing pixels, and no cross-site advertising integrations are added on top of it.

A single functional cookie named ad_theme stores which of the site's color themes you were shown, so the site looks the same when you come back. It holds one short word, nothing about you, and clearing it simply picks a new theme.

The contact form

The form collects your name, email address, and your message, and sends them by email so they can be read and replied to. They are not added to a marketing list and no newsletter follows.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs in invisible mode and checks that the submission comes from a person rather than a script. Cloudflare processes data for this purpose as described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Turnstile does not use this data for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Applications

Austin Devs LLC builds and operates a number of applications, and this policy applies to those owned by Austin Devs LLC. The set changes over time, so it is not enumerated here; each application identifies its operator in its own interface.

Where an application has accounts, it holds the details needed to run it, typically a name and an email address, along with whatever content you choose to put into it. That content belongs to you. It is not sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing, and it is not used to train models for third parties.

Applications built for a client under contract are operated by that client, and their own privacy policy applies rather than this one.

Service providers

Running any of this involves a small number of vendors acting on instructions: hosting and network providers, email delivery, and the analytics and bot protection described above. They receive only what they need to perform their function.

Retention

Contact form messages are kept as ordinary email correspondence for as long as they are useful. Application data is kept while the account exists. Analytics retention follows Google Analytics' own default settings.

Your choices

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and that request will be honored where there is no legal reason to keep it. Analytics can be blocked with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any content blocker, and the site works normally without it. The theme cookie can be cleared at any time in your browser.

Children

None of this is directed at children under 13, and information is not knowingly collected from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it.
